My list of greatest guitar players of all time. Because there is no way to do this unless it's extremely biased, I'll just do it saying that these are MY favourite guitarists. I know how many should be on this list, but whatever.

I'm not basing it purely on shredding speed if that's what you're referring to. It's his style I admire. The way he would neglect his guitar and the kind of sounds he could get. It's something different for once.
You mean you get honored when you put a shotgun in your mouth and pull the trigger with your toe..?
I would honor that xDAngus should probably be higher up on the list. AC/DC is just too great to be #6 in my opinion.
Heh. I think I agree with that. John Petrucci is a great guitarist too. I'm glad you put Alexi and Herman on that list.
And have you heard Stevey's solo in Burn, by Deep Purple?
This is inspiring me to do my greatest drummers list.Steve morse is one of my favorite. But I would knock Van Halen up a couple, I definately think he's better than Angus Young. Also My top 5 guitarists included Eric Clapton. But you got the mayjor one's (Stevey, Jimmy Page, Hendrix-he's ok)
Crap, read it backwards. I think Hendrix is one of the greatest mugicians ever, but I wouldn't call him a #1 guitarist. Also, I believe Jimmy Page is better than Angus. Sevral magazines have credited him with playing the best guitar solo ever in Stairway to Heaven.I haven't listened to Stairway to Heaven lately. I really should. I figured Jimmy Page and Angus Young both should have been higher.
So why not Slash? Or Peter Frampton?
