So what did you guys think?11681<3 You highlighter…I thought they did better than nintendo in my own opinion. Is it because I own only sony products? Doesn't hurt, but could it also be that they showed footage of upcoming games that we are/I am dying for, announced some awesome stuff, gave convincing argument of why PS move is both functional and not a gimmick, that 3D gaming is going to be sweet once we can get 3D tvs, or simply because Kevin Butler is awesome?Idk about you, but I'm sick of motion controllers, well at least I was, but they showed some pretty cool stuff with it. The most basic thing about it that got my attention is the tiger woods demo. Ok, granted I hate sport games and I hate golf, even so this caught my attention. When the guy took his first swing, he missed and hit the ground with his club. Sure he is a bad golfer, but that shows that motion control games will no longer wait for you to make a similar movements while it plays out an animation, but that you are actually controlling it. Not getting what I'm saying? Think of golf on the wii, no matter if you flick your wrist or swing in any direction, it will play the animation and hit the ball. PS Move, you only hit the ball if you actually swing where the ball is supposed to be.They also showed some cool games for the move, and I'm pretty interested in the game "Sorcery" which has a completely crap title, but looks freaking awesome thanks to the fact that Move has "what we in the future call buttons."The Killzone 3 demo was awesome and I am a huge fan of Killzone 2 so I can't wait for that.Footage of Motorstorm Apocalypse :DI may be the only here that cares about that series, but I love those games so much.Kevin Butler, despite all my doubt that he would be there, showed up fulfilling my hopes that he would, and spoke to the audience crushing my fears that he would only be good in commercials. He was funny as hell, if you haven't seen his speech, please look it up. It is great.Soooooo, what did you guys think? :DAlso thanks for the complements about my tongue :PEdit: I forgot twisted metal, that looks awesome.
Nintendo did way better.
I personally enjoyed Nintendo a lot more because of the familiar titles.
Sony's conference kind of bored me, except when they showed Little Big World 2 at the end. I thought that was pretty badass.Still, iron out the Zelda bugs and that was pretty sweet, but as Zane says, it's like WindWaker and Twilight Princess graphics combined. But seriously. Donkey Kong.I liked Sony's the best, followed by Nintendo, with Microsoft in last.
Nintendo and its 3DS obliterated everything else at the E3.
Nintendo actually surprised me. They did pretty well compared to everyone else.
Except for the Wii Party games.Everything else kicked ass, and they got more applause than everyone but Sony.I think both did extremely well, seriously those two companies know how to keep their players. I think the reason I wasn't too excited about nintendo is because I'm not much of a nostalgia player, and that is pretty much what nintendo has been riding on for years. So I'm not too interested in the old games coming to 3DS, and Zelda, if I may quote a brilliant man, is "the same game with different dresses." I'm sure they will do a good job with donkey kong and all those other recreations, and don't get me wrong, recreations are great from one console to the next, so I think donkey kong will be expanded upon tremendously, so that I'm excited for, but Zelda and Mario have been doing this for far too long.
I didn't get to watch it, but I thought that Nintendo's was a better read than Microsoft's. I read the IGN live blog of the two, I wasn't interested in Sony so I didn't read.
Yeah, sony didn't really announce anything, just should gameplay footage of games that were announced at GDC but had only shown teasers, so I would expect that not being a very good read.
Nintendos was lame as hell. Worst conference I ever saw in any E3. I didn't see the other 2 this year though, so can't comment on those.
Finally buying a PS3 this summer, so super excited for the new games this year. Especially Twisted Metal, I fucking loved that game as a kid.
