Sounds like the failed plan to tax in-game money. I wouldn't worry about it.

I want to point out that attempting to censor video games is almost completely impossible because of how integrated with the web they have become. It has been proven over and over that unless you have a Firewall of China that violates basic human rights, you cannot censor the internet. If you can't censor the internet, good luck censoring video games, which now have a huge online market thanks to steam and independent developers who have no other method of distribution. If this bill does pass, it will end up like Prohibition and simply get repealed after everyone realizes how idiotic it is.

The thing I don't get… Why does the government and their stupidity waste time on such "meaningless" matters? I realize there are some "benefits" such as *supposedly* less violence in the world, but look at what sheltering has done already. It just doesn't work the way we want it to, so why try if we know it won't work? The government needs to spend less time picking their brains through their noses for ideas.

I don't see why they try to stop it, ever since video games violent crimes have dropped.
