Roar! I am graphically challenged!

Well, I'm not really graphically challenged. I just can't sprite. Give me Photoshop and… I WIN.

Anyway, the school term just started for me. JUST after I was getting in to the holidays, school has to come around and wreck it all >=(. Oh well, no more getting up at 12 noon… which is sort of a bad thing and sort of a good thing.

The homework has also started coming out of the works. Holy moly there's a load of it.

"Are you year 7?"

"Yeah."

"That sucks"

"Yeah, it does."

"Wait 'til you get to year 9, then it sucks even more."

Me speaking to one of my year 9 friends. I think his comments pretty much summed up how I'm feeling about school right now, with exams coming up.

Apparently, a teacher threw a phone today, you know, Russell Crowe style. A kid was calling him a shithead or something, so he chucked his phone at his head XD. The kid dodged it and it hit one of my friends. XD.

Keep L337,

Firebird out!

Ha, my holidays just started. We had our exams last term, so there's no real work till next year.

I hear you about the spriting. Edit a sprite sure, but if I try from scratch it generally comes out crap. Probably my number 1 reason for not releasing anything, aside from laziness.

Try using the path function in the GIMP. It seems to help me get the shape I want always. wich is what I have trouble with.

Actually spriting in general pissed me off… until I discovered alpha masks, and I could use Illustrator for my stuff!

It seems like I got more homework in year 7 than I got in 8, 9, 10 and 11.

This is where someone gives you some stock advice about spriting, such as "keep practicing!" or "You just have to work at it!". The truth is that…um…well, yeah that is the truth.

As for me, Kenon, the line art is the easier part. It's the shading that is tricky.

I've been in school since August 16th, so don't even complain. I haven't had a good night sleep since august.

Shading's easy… lineart confuses me. O_o
