I am writing this blog sort of pointing out that there is a lot wrong with this site! Don't get me wrong it's a great site but it's getting buggier every time i come on it. Below is a list of the problems that i have found:
RatingsJust look at some of the ratings we are getting! NEGATIVE ratings! And have you seen what rating our top rated game has!EDIT: ok i've been told it's the ajaxEDIT: ok now i've been told it's not ajaxCertain linksThis message was displayed when i attemped to access ludamads page. It also happens on certain news posts and on certain games!Favorite usersI can't add or delete favorite users! Also i have been told by others that they can't do this either!!ForumsI know the forums are only a BETA but i'm getting more problems with them than i've ever had. For example i can't delete topics, i can't even delete comments. And when i post it comes up saying "this page cannot be displayed"BlogsI can't delete comments from my blogs and i can't even delete the blog itself! In conclusion: This is a good site but needs fixing
About the link problem:
//a brand new gateway computer./There yah go! New products don't always work as expected. Besides, if it were the site, then <b>everyone</b> would be getting that error. But they don't, do they… Ergo, it is you.i get exactly the same problem on my old dell computer though.
I cant delete my messages from Trash…:((
64digits is the best gm site…:)
Ratings: It was a side-effect of the server switch.
Favourite users: Get a better Internet browser.Forums: They're better. Use them at your discretion.Blogs: That shouldn't happen.Ratings: I've seen that before, trust melee on it.
Everything else: Probably your browser. Are you on dial-up?Firstly, ratings aren't a result of ajax (although I know that's what everyone's saying, so I'm not blaming you for thinking it). Those four games are the only four that I haven't been able to fix yet. (They'll be fixed eventually) Like melee said, they're a bi-product of the server change.
The links are a problem with apache - aplushost must have been fixing something. I doubt you'll see it any more. (If you do, just try refresh in a minute or two)The Favorite Users are a result of your browser's inability to use javascript properly.Forums: Like frenchconY said I said, don't ues the forums. I do'nt know who put the link to the forums in the top bar, but they really shouldn't have. And I'm not touching anything regarding the forums until v3. (btw, I hope everyone's been reading the first post I wrote, stating that all posts would be wiped in v3)Blogs: That'd be a problem on the server side (not your browser), but everyone else is able to do this, so you could try clear your cache, and see if your browser is just loading an old cached html file with the comment or blog you already deleted.wow long comment! but it did just about explain everyting. I know everyones saying it's my browser but i really don't think it is.
