So I had a little downtime at work today (actually, a lot), and I decided I’d use the spare time to finally update my phpBB forum to the most up-to-date version. The problem with this is that I wanted to have a local copy of the forum data (all the changed images, smilies, avatars, and mySQL info) on hand, just incase things got foobar’d. My computer at work has more than enough space on it, but I wanted to take all my files with me when I headed home.
The solution? I hooked up my iPod to the computer, and threw all the forum data on that. I ended up waiting until I got home to update the forum anyway, but as I was getting out of my car and heading into my apartment, I had a funny thought. It seemed absolutely ridiculous to me that all the data from my forum, everything all the users have ever said, all those smilies, questions, answers, etc… All that was just sitting there on my iPod, in my pocket. It’s amusing to me to know that you can fit a message board (even a vast message board), it’s parent website, and everything else in between all on this little device, take it with you, make some changes to it, re-upload it, and nobody has any idea what that data has been through to get from point A to point B. I guess I enjoy the digital age a bit too much sometimes.Anyway, progress on Evolites is going well… I’m not sure if I’ll even bother putting out a new update before I release it, but you never know. Seems to take quite a while for anything to appear on this website sometimes. I’ll post more on this project as I get around to it, since I’ve already said a lot about it.Time to go find something to drink… Allergies are dryin’ me out.
That is absolutely ridiculous, I can not believe that, OMG OMG OMG!
:PI used to live up in the hills over here, away from most pollution, and every other year, my allergies to grass would make my eyes so itchy I couldn't see!
Now I just have allergies in general, but I'm living in the valley, and the pollen here is terrible… along with the pollution.Well, I went in for allergy testing, and it literally turned out that I was allergic to everything that they tested for (which was a helluvalot, like 80 different extracts or so), at least to some degree.
I'me allergic to an unknown substance that I seem to encounter only in the spring and fall.
Im allergic to noobs. fortunately, i cannot feel a rash developing yet… It is why i am so ornery in the GMC. [=D]
Seriously though, i dont think i am allergic to anything. I have latered my hand in poison Ivy and nothing happened, survived 15 years without seasonal allergies, and am about able to do anything. Sure, dust can make me sneeze a little, but that is more instinctive then allergenic.Fred, look at this
