In preparation for my commercial endeavor, I have been adding last minute trimming and polish to the games I plan to put on the shelf. Among my products that will be for sale is this game, Dropout:
<img src="http://64digits.com/users/Game%20Fortress/dropout.gif">Dropout started out like a Blockbreaker/breakout remake, but the final game hardly even resembles the block breaker cliche'. The idea behind it was this; instead of moving a paddle back and forth across the screen, why not controll the ball itself? The goal is to collect all the blocks without falling out of the screen. A number of "drone paddles" move across the bottom of the screen on their own, and you can manipulate the ball with the arrow keys, although the ball is constantly influenced by gravity (which makes the keys feel slighly less responsive, but in a good way) with pressing up to break a bit.To keep things interesting, there are tons of objects you can interact with in the game. So far there are Cannons, Pinball Paddles, Gravity Wheels, Ballons, Giant Tubes, Powerups, and a few other things..But the thing that makes this game a bit "funny" or "odd" is the setting, which for some reason unknown to even myself, somewhat resembles somthing from a Dr.Suess book.
Now that you mention it it does resemble somthing from a Dr.Suess book.
So you updateding the version you released to us? Also is Pete coming back tommorow?I will be releasing a limited version for my forum exclusivley, but i obviously cant give the full version. That would be unethical after selling it.
lol, i was about to yell at you for being some overambitious noob, but then i realized you were game fortress and i actually respect you. :\
XD its not really a big commercial deal, I am just selling them at a booth in a fair.
Yeah thats cool, thats about how I plan to start selling games, along with at garage sales =p
That looks… odd.
Slap a GTA sticker on the cover and you're all set to go. You'll make millions (for a little while anyways).
=P yeah, untill the feds come lock me up for copyright infringments
Lol thats funny.
Yeah that reminds me of a machione from Doctor Seuss….
