I just read a post sombody had made in my topic for "Blackwater", an underwater RPG game I have been working on. Basically, the post amounted to the person telling me how VASTLY disappointed they were by the game, and how much it sucked. (naturally, they were comparing it to Pokemon Twilight -_-) They also made the accusation that I have secretly "abandoned" the project and merely pretend to keep working on it. The interesting thing is that this was not the first time I have had the riot act read to me over Blackwater.
Seriously, I have heard it all. That game is boring. The name is deciving I was expecting somthing way cooler. Blackwater STINX! Pokemon Twilight is way better, I dont understand why GF is working on this game. GF is lying and he dosent even have the game, it dosent exist. Demos take too long to come out.But sadly, the show must go on. Despite the VERY VERY convincing reasons I have been sent why BW is a terrible game, I am going to keep trucking. (even if people dont belive the project is real XD)Why?For no other reason than because I love the game, setting, and idea. The current demo hardly reflects what the game will be in the end. It has no story, no gameplay, and not even that much of a graphics display. I probably should have refrained from releasing a demo at all because of all the flac I get from it. But facts are facts… There is somthing mysterious and alluring about Blackwater, the inky end of the world…. And I refuse to put it down.Besides, half the fun of game making is watching people eat their words.

I don't see the point in comparing this "Blackwater" game to Pokemon Twilight. There can't be a good Pokemon clone because Pokemon wasn't a good concept to begin with, and the battle system was bad. It's like Jumper clones, when the game is a bad idea in the first place, remakes and clones aren't going to help it. ( Except for Ocarina of Time's case though, I'd love to see a 2d remake of that not done in ALTTP style, but the game sucked. )
Although I must admit I liked Red and Blue, and Emerald was enjoyable in a few areas but other than that the games are really over rated.But this is all just my opinion. :PMany people will argue with you. All things considered, pokemon is one of the most popular game seires ever to be created so the concept must be worth somthing. I agree that it is sensless to compare it to Twilight though.
