Made in England

Hi there 64 digits, I haven't written a blog in quite a long time, mainly because I stopped using GM to focus on learning and creating games on XNA. However i only started using XNA because some of my friends were interested in it and we were gonna use it to start a low(no)-budget indie games company, creating some fairly simple games for the xbox marketplace. Unfortunately my friends quickly got bored with it and we ended up not creating anything. I probably could have carried on to make some solo projects, but that wasn't my intention when starting XNA, and I didn't feel like programming 'proper' games all on my own. I barely keep the motivation to finish GM games, let alone XNA ones. So after a little break from game making I suddenly got the urge to start up Gamemaker again. I'm gonna start creating stuff using GM again, so it's all good now.

In other news, the World cup starts soon. I'm sure most people know what the World Cup is but if don't it's the only the biggest football (english style, not american) competetion in the World (hence the name). I'm not really into normal Premier League Football, but I love the World Cup, It's just the atmosphere that surronds it and it's the only time of year that you'll see England flags hanging from houses as if we're actually proud to be English. When the World Cup is not happening it seems almost a crime to be proud to be English, I think becuase there is a lot of races and cultures that live in England it's almost considered racist. Another reason why I love the World Cup period is because as an English man, i can actually be English and not British. Don't get me wrong I'm proud to British aswell but first and foremost I'm from England, not Britain. You see the United Kingdom of Great Britain is formed of Four Countries; Nothern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England. However speak to any American and they will call you British (or Brit for short) and not English. So for a couple of months I will stand tall and be proud to be English and I urge everyone from England to be the same. I know England might not be the greatest country in the world but then again what country is? (rhetorical question) And yes I know our country is in a terrible financial state but we'll bounce back stronger than ever because we're Made in England. (Blog inspired by the following song I just heard, simply EPIC!)

Anyway, I'm off to look for some game making inspiration, hopefully you'll see more of me around here again.

Over and Out.

@ Mordi you made me lol

@ Toast Yeah true, but I like this type of music whether the rest of 64d does or not.

@ shawn They can't be that bad, surely?

@MMORPGguy I bet there's a lot of people that feel the same as you, at the end of the day it's only a game and won't affect me or anyone in anyway at all, but I like it and that's just me.

@ Ferret Yeah I'm not a fan of sports really either, oh and thanks.

@Cyrus Lol

@ Juju I bet 64d loves you, helping to bring new users with your kind words and all round welcoming attitude, such a lovely guy.

It isn't my problem if you don't agree with my opinion. Going all ad hominem isn't going to solve anything.

The basis of the argument was the apparent poor understanding of irony, not him being stupid ;)

I lol'd, at the irony, typed up a comment, noticed it was intentional, and lol'd again.

Fuck I'm slow at this.
