it's been a while since i've posted a blog about games and the such, so here we go!
ancient release date: 4.22.2012now i've got the 3d model loading in, and the character's animations are all complete, and in-game.i'm currently waiting on MisfitChris to finish up the music, and for myself to finish designing the levels..i also need to come up with a better menu system, and make the cutscenes work better.8bitworld release date: 10.22.2012looks the same, but we've added new weapons and materials, and we'll be releasing a demo very soon.up! release date: 6.22.2012currently have it 85% working in html5, but the iphone and mac version is only around 50% complete.daysmy entry for the V4D competition; it's being made in html5, so there are a couple limitations, but it currently has over 7 pages of dialog (excluding the epilogue) and is more of a short film than a game.. oh well.other stuffi'm a bit torn. we've decided to move on to a commercial game development environment for our larger, future games, but it's a choice between UDK, and Unity.. any thoughts (cost is of no concern)?well, that's all, just wanted to fill you guys in!
what is the HTML5 environment you are programming in? It looks pretty nice.
YAY ancient! I friggin' love that game. It was so addicting…and spiky…:D
heh, well actually for my html5 stuff, i'm using a simple syntax editor i made, but, i'm stealing the yoyogames html5 runner until i complete mine.
I haev to wait a year fur 8-Bit World?
Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!dunnt yu wuury yuuung suun.
we're actually getting the game topic set up right now for our first demo release of it!Ancient looks the most interesting to me, can't wait to play it. :D
Those are some pretty awesome screenshots.
Yeah im figuring the only point in GM now is the new stuff they are doing with porting to HTML5 and iOS. And if they really revamp the program for GM9.
i've been playing with game maker studio a lot lately, and they've definitely done a lot in order to make it a more professional ide.
if they do actually get it 100% working with ios, android, psp, mac, and html5; i'll definitely consider using it for bigger projects.
