I'm very very depressed right now.
Before I was, I was working on several new concepts. The first of which was a Chaos Theory art generator. The kind with a number of magnets and a pendulum, and the color indicates to which magnet a pendulum released from that point would end up at.The second was a Che Art generator. You know, that Che guevera commie revolutionist guy, the picture thats black and red. Well, my program does that, it takes the values of the pixels and colors them black or red accordingly. Or, whatever two colors you want.Being American, I made a really cool American patriotic piece of crap, it looks really cool though. I made a black and white render of troops saluting in front of a flag, and then added basic color to the flag.Anyway, for a true "Che-rendering," you've got to blur it a little bit. Since my "program" is really just a script you run in GM, you then take the resulting image into the GM image editor, set it to transparent=true, and blur it. It smoothes the edges nicely. But I think blurring might take too long within the interpreted code of GM, I don't know. I'll have to test it with a ds_grid, because I can't just use draw_getpixel more than once, it's far too slow.Other projects:Revolution, my MMO, I considered going back to after looking at the source for RoPW, but I decided it would be too hard to recode things.MIDI Master isn't going to happen any time soon until I find a nice windows interface utility. Why Mark hasn't added windows interface functionality (like checkboxes, radio buttons, text areas, etc) as a basic part of GM, I don't know. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard. But no. Instead, he just modifies the DLL system and calls it a new version. …I've got to release something new sometime. I haven't for too long, not counting that little seismic charges thing, which bugged for almost everyone (see previous blog).
Hi Hot. Good to see you're alive.
So, uh, why are you depressed, really?
