First, im not sure i underrstand the rating system. My game got 4 ratings, and the total score went as follows: 10/10, 10/10, 10/10, 9/10. The last person told me that they voted 9/10. Well, ok. But i also know the 3rd and first persons voted 10/10. So if the second person voted 9/10, it would have shown that as the second score if it rounds down, even less would lead to lower scores.
So, what i get, is that the site takes 39/40 as a 9/10. what? I dont think thats fair. Another thing, there are MANY games waiting in the queue, soe of the games up right now have been up for several days. Only 2 new games showed up today.I have 2 games waiting, in queue positions 21 and 25. We didnt get 8 games slots to make this system slower, did we? gah…Anyway, that said….Theres a game ive been wanting to do for awhile, and i might start it. Its working title would be "Theme Park Designer" or something. Basically, its a blatant rip-off of roller coaster tycoon. I love roller coaster tycoon. Designing a theme park is awesome. so designing WHAT you can do to the theme park is even better. I would need heavy gfx assistance on this, though. Id like to experiment with the idea of custom roller coasters in a game.
Welcome to the wonderful world of fucked up rating systems.
I guess rating is calculated, and then rounded down.
it should just be rounded, not rounded down, to give a more accurate rating.
YAY! someone filled in the slots! Thanks to whoever did it!
I think the rating shows the AVERAGE rating you recieved, then rounded down. So:
10 + 10 + 10 + 9 = 39/4 = 9.75 (rounded down) = 9That seems to work out, even though it sucks.Yes, exactly. It shouldnt round down, its misleading and inaccurate.
I think it probably doesn't really even round, I think it just reads up until the decimal point.
