Top Down Shooter Ai

I suggest you use the health one if you are going to use this engine atm. It fixes problems with when the player dies. It also has a follow command to chase down someone after they engage in battle.

TDSAI is my current side project in which I hope to create an elaborate ai for top down shooters. When complete I'll optimize for easy use for everyone but until then it will stay how it looks atm.

Change the room as you like, the ai adapts to it.

-Take cover

-strafe

-shooting

-the walls the ai takes cover block some shots. (Free Cover)

-computers avoid grenades, or try to.

-decent grenades.

Controls:

wsad - move

mouse - shoot/throw grenade

enter - switch area

This ai is not a bot. Though you can turn it into one relatively easily, its main function is to be a patrolling type ai that reacts when you come to it.

0.0 I made a TDS AI example, its in the queue right now.

Mine has the same features as yours except without grenades. And mine uses A* algorithm for pathfinding. EDIT: oh and I see yours has low walls too. Clever.

Yours looks better organized than mine (mines just one huge step event), but you should really indent your code.

Grr. You'll never beat my AI. I guess i'll have to switch onto windows tomorrow and try this out.
