Just another quick update, show you what I've been up to since my last blog about my game. Since my last blog, I've made some major improvements.
Gonna get straight to the point:Most of the changes aren't very noticeable in the trailer. I've been working out a lot of small details in the game. Added a new fog effect if you noticed that in the trailer, but there's much more to come in the following months. Which will include a new beta for the game. (Go to 0:41 for the new minigun)

It may or may not include mech suits :>Oh, and thanks to Moikle for the sexy explosions. They actually look much more incredible, in-game. This trailer makes them look different for some reason.

vereh vereh koolzerzok, here is what it is SUPPOSED to look like, right mouse button is what is shown in the trailer, and left mouse button is my old one, which has had some minor changes to create the explosion shown when you press the middle mouse button.

no, sorry, i havent actually changed anything, but if you CAN see the smoke in that executable, then that means thet it IS because of something they changed in GM8. does anyone know what changes they have made to particles, or possibly the sprite_set_alpha_from_sprite function? to me it looks like they have made all particle types global, but i still don't see anything which would cause the smoke to be invisible…
I hate when GM just acts stupid for absolutely no reason.
this reminds me of the "Game maker has encountered an unexpected error" message, basically telling you that everything that you have been working on for weeks (or months) is broken and can not be salvaged
