My roommate and I (jokingly) decided to do covers of Katy Perry songs, which we're planning on performing back to back.
If you've ever wondered how I Kissed a Girl would sound on a Gameboy, with Eddie Murphy laugh samples, here's one example of that. I could use some feedback from non-chiptune artists before I continue, so let me know what you think.WIP - I Kissed a Girl (Shyabeetus Cover)

I know literally nothing about making music, but this is ridiculous in the absolute best way!
And, around 2:50, the laugh samples on top of the music make me think of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, which I deeply appreciate.excellent work, grandpa
do hot n cold nextgroovy, this would work pretty well as videogame music
abbeyminor - Thanks! Funny story, I have those Zombies Ate My Neighbors laugh samples on my LSDJ cart. Now I'm very tempted to add some of those, or at least an "Uh-oh!"
Obelisk - Thank you, grandchild. Actually a better known chip performer, Nikola, already did Hot n Cold. I'll think about it though.Rez - Thanks! I used a Gameboy to compose this, so it's close to being video game music haha.I like what you did with the CSS.
I've already commented on this, so I don't have much to say.
Good show, fine sir!For the love of all that is right, do not ever jokingly decide to do a cover of a Nicki Minaj song.LAR Games - Haha thanks, it's modeled after my website.
Charlie Carlo - *squints* Oh, and the roommate who's doing a Katy Perry song with me was tempted to do Starships. I could never put myself through that kind of torment. That sounds really good, actually. Nice stuff. Never was able to get onto trackers or other music programs like this but I'd love to try using one of these programs soon in the future.
u a stuped hoe.
I think you should definitely do Nicki Minaj next. If not Starships, Superbass. :)
This is absolutely amazing.
