As some of you might know, I've been working on this really awesome space shooter game for a while, together with FearedMachina… We have got loads of awesome ideas, including corrupt governments, alien pimps, over-the-top weapons and insane action! For example: How would it be to fly in a tunnel inside a collapsing and rotating mining-meteor? A demo is planned soon, so here is a screenshot for all you 64digits space maggots!
(Being chased by an insane space pirate that glued to gatling cannons and a flamethrower on his stolen ship.)EDIT:Screenshot Overload :DJakeX edit: You had all the image tags linked to the download counter, instead of the actual image, so I went in and fixed all your tags for you, because I'm just that awesome. If you want to track image views, you'll have to use links instead. Thanks! ;)
Looks very nice! I like the planet gfx and the particles. How far along are you?
looks pretty cool
Thanks! So far we've got two types of missiles, one weapon (made two other ones, both deleted, one lagged too much, the other one sucked). The shop/inventory system is almost done (Diablo like-equiping). We've got one teammate (All will be different), some face displays, some ship sprites, the pirate boss, and some suicidal zerglike creatures. Oh yeah, we're almost done on the hud, and made an awesome hit effect that makes the screen blur with previous frames. I'm sure we've got more, but well, too much to mention.
Alright, I fixed up your entry so it actually shows the entries… though, some of the images are kind of…. big, don't you think?
(Oh, yeah, and - those screenshots look in-f***ing-credible. Very nice.)Thanks! Some of the screens are too big yeah… If anyone complains, I'll delete them.
Thos screenies looks incredible
If this is an exploration/arena/mission based space game then I'm going to need to step up my game.
This looks so cool!!was this all made from scratch? (mine isn't mine's based on MarkO's asteriod example) cos this is really good!Wow, that looks incredible!
In those last couple screens, those astroid things look like they're 3d, and in the last one, it looks like you're blowing one up…Are they made using d3d?Very nice looking. Destroys my attempt at making a space shooter(6 months ago).
Hehe, thanks a lot everyone, first of all, the meteors aren't 3d, and yes, one is being blown up. Everything is made from scratch, all the sprites, backgrounds, music and programming.
