"O oysters, come and walk with us," the Walrus did beseech,
"A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk, along the briny beach."So yeah. It's Christmas break now. Weirdest thing happened on Friday- there was a huge windstorm- like nearly a tornado, with trees falling on houses and stuff- and the power went out all across the city. Which meant- guess what- no school on the last day before the break. Which means no turning in homework, no getting new homework, and no taking tests. Pretty sweet. Then my oldest brother and my sister-in-law (his wife) came home from college and we played video games late into the night. Then, yesterday, I went to Hastings (for those of you who aren't American, it's a multimedia type store), and, as usual, they didn't have anything I wanted- except they had a copy of the annoyingly allusive ICO to rent. Since they didn't have any copies for sale, they sold me the rental for five bucks. The best deal ever. Then I went to a Pawn Shop and got a copy of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II for five bucks. I don't usually buy video games, so yesterday was a big day for me.I'm not far in ICO, but I already love it. Probably the best console game I've played, at least if it keeps up this level of quality, which it will if what I've heard about it is true. I realize I was saying the same thing about Shadow of the Colossus a couple weeks ago, but SotC is the prequel and ICO is the original, so I don't feel like a traitor or anything. :DSo long.
"I went to Hastings"
In my city, that's the name of a street famous for prostitutes, druggies, and homeless dudes. =DI wonder if the store is any different =0
My old neighborhood was an the street "Rottenwood" and my house was on "Stinkx".
@bob- no prostitutes, but otherwise basically the same.
