This blog has basically nothing to do with Valentine's Day, other than the fact that I'm writing it on that magical day. As I predicted, this week has been absolute hell, and there's more up ahead, but after that… 3-day weekend!

The Wasteland has got a solid lead in the Cagematch, despite the fact that 64Digits has failed exactly when I need it most. Hopefully this won't last long. In any case, that game seems to be cursed; I've uploaded it here and at DLStudios- DL shut down, and this place is having an inconvenient server switch. I created an archive page on GMG, and GMG is now down; and the link on EO is broken as well. But hey, I never claimed to be a lucky guy.

Today one of my friends (the same one who had never played a video game) revealed that she did not know what tapioca is. And I'm spending the evening doing chemistry homework (seriously, this isn't a double-meaning) instead of something (anything) fun.

On a positive note, I've been reading Black Like Me, which is very good (by which I mean it's illuminating, though hard to read). It was written by a white journalist in the fifties who stained his skin black and toured the Deep South. I am convinced that racism is truly one of, if not the, worst evil ever perpetrated by mankind, because it is utterly senseless, and yet it has caused more violent hatred than the family of a victim against a murderer. as well as the worst violent crimes ever committed (look at the KKK and the various European genocides, notably the Holocaust). And it is based on something the victims cannot even help, as the author of Black Like Me points out- they don't hate who he is, only the color of his skin.

That's my positive note for the day, so it should give you an idea of what kind of day I've had. I hope yours was better.
