Hi everyone. I’ve just registered to your wonderful community and I want in on the RPG contest. Permit me to introduce myself, I’m Jenova, a lone coder who dwells somewhere in a mountain residing in dreary old England.
I’ve always had a passion for console RPG’s, such as Zelda, Final Fantasy and any mad cap game that comes out of the Nippon Ichi’s studios. It was because of games such as these that lured me to such programs as Game Maker, then onto Dark Basic and just recently onto C++. Although I enjoy coding it has been a while since I have produced anything more than a pretty looking demo; so I’m counting on you guys to nag me into getting my ass in gear. Like many coders such as myself who find there cursor hovering over a You Tube video, instead of an IDE screen, I’m gonna need all the help I can get.Nothing is set in stone but I’ve been playing with the concept of a RPG which honours the spirit of the original Final Fantasy games. Elemental forces under distress, friendship, love, loss, random battles: an evil empire/conglomerate. Hironobu Sakaguchi, left a legacy with Squareenix, a legacy which from the results of there most recent games, has been ignored. I hope my finished product will at least attempt to honour that legacy.Good Luck to all of us…
Welcome.
I wonder what you produce for the compo. In a mountain? Impressive.
Whereabouts in England?Welcome to 64D. =)
Well, for one, let's be honest; The original Final Fantasy games had NOTHING to do with Love, Loss or Friendship. It was all grinding, grinding with an extra side of grinding… and more grinding.
Anyways, good luck.P.S. You forgot Atlas. Atlas makes some kick-ass RPGS.P.S.S. NIPPON ICHI <3P.S.S.S What'll be you making your game in?From one mountain-dweller to another, welcome to 64Digits.

Hi Jenova, we have a few Brits around on the site - I come from Peterborough (there or thereabouts) and I now live in Camden, London. Toast's from the UK too, as is marbs (if he's ever online…).
