Zombcheez[2]

Progress has been made in Zombcheez. Here are some more ideas I had.

It will have a few skills, maybe 8 at the beginning. Stuff like attack, defence, health, cheese, intimidation, etc. It will also have 2 health related meters, the first is HP which works like most games. But the second is Condition. Condition has to do with how well your zombie is holding together, lower condition means slower movement, less damage done, etc. HP will rise over time after you are hurt, while condition will (very slowly) be falling. Your skills and equipment will affect how condition works and there will be a couple different ways to raise it.

There will be magic in Zombcheez, but it won’t be a major combat thing. More of a helping hand, sort of like prayer in RuneScape.

One item will be a Restoration Amulet, a magical item which will slowly raise your condition. Then of course there is equipment that works as armor.

Programming

Right now, the game checks online to see if its engine is out of date and to see how many content updates it needs. Next I will be making the code to actually download the content files and then maybe the updater exe, which will run whenever the engine is out of date in order to replace the game exe.
