Note: Global means it’s all across the Pyco network of sites, local means its different for each site.
I have been doing an insane amount of website work lately. A few days ago, I decided to completely redo how friends were stored in Pyco so that it would be a global friend system (honestly, I have no idea why it was local before.) While working on the friends system, I decided to do the same thing for the local user id system. Now that I've started both of those things, I've decided to make the Private Message system global also, but keeping the local system too. That way you could choose in your preferences whether people on a certain site can send you global messages. This brought up another update, now I need to make a database to give every site a global id to store its name and stuff so systems like the private messages can easily check that.I also decided that pycosites.com needs a point, before it was just a place to make a crappy website in the woefully incomplete Pyco Design Language and modify Pantheon, the Pyco chatbot. I disabled the website creation features, cause they weren’t complete enough and were against my current hosts rules. So instead I'm working on fixing up the Pantheon stuff, and adding new things like a friend manager, user profiles, and the new private message system. So yeah, a lot of major changes to the Pyco system. Outside of the main system, I've also done a ton of work on orbscape.com and its really starting to show. I recently created a twitter for OrbScape, because it seems like a good way to advertise websites. Seems that its true, cause just posting a few random site updates has gotten me a steady trickle of people visiting the site.
Webalicious!
How come you have so many websites? :o
