I've been putting a lot more work into GameGame and made even moar progress.
Mostly my time since the last blog has been spent fixing up a few minor pieces of multiplayer code and fixing all the glitches I could find. Now I'm out of glitches to fix and all the framework for multiplayer is built so I can start focusing on making GameGame good.I added checkpoints to the maps, so if you fall down a hole or die somehow then you don't get sent back the very beginning. Plus I fixed an odd glitch where you would get bouncing so fast while on a speed boost that you would be bouncing between walls every single frame, making it so if your hspeed or vspeed reached 0 then you would get stuck forever bouncing in a straight line.Also there is now a bouncing cheese cheat, this is basically a requirement for every game I make. I had to make them round cheese though, so they don't look as cool as my triangle cheese.Anyway, all this progress means I can now focus on gameplay features and designing more levels. I'm starting to come up with a concept for a new game type based on capture the flag, but that might require a lot of engine impovements first. Maybe it's time that I program in the lazers =pedit:The least fancy lobby page, I've just tossed all the features on it for testing. This makes the first time I've actually tested to make sure that only 12 players can connect. Plus I added a seperate color for each player for identification. Obviously some of the colors need tweaked, but yeah.
