I'm hopefully going to get Civilization 5 GOTY edition this weekend cause its on sale for 75% off on steam. You guys should get it then we could have a Civ 5 marathon or something, I don't really know how the multiplayer works except that it probably takes forever =p
I'm hoping to get Pikmin 2 Wii when it comes out in June. Pikmin 2 is one of my favorite games ever so a widescreen wii version is worth $20 new =p Speaking of pikmin, Pikmin 3 info is coming at e3 =DAnyway, I'm currently in the 2nd to last day of my first summer class =D Although I'll miss being able to work on CheeseMod/websites during class =p For some insane reason, I don't have enough credits so I'm going to have take 2 more extra classes in addition to the ones required for my major/minor. I dunno why though, I've taken more extra classes than most people I know because I switched my major and minor after taking multiple classes for them. But it looks like the best option is Spanish since I'm already kinda familiar with it. I dunno if I'll go Spanish 1 and 2 or do Spanish 1 and something else =/ So in the end I'll have taken 5-6 foreign language classes <_<
I've never tried using the Multiplayer on Civ V…
Actually, I've never played it since I bought it a year ago…I don't even know if it runs…Dammit, I better check.Haha, I've only ever done 2 player Civ 4 on a single computer. Never tried online. I was suprised when I saw that it came out in 2010, doesn't feel like its been so long.
I've only played Civalization on XBox which was awesome too. Another language you could take is Dutch seeing it looks a lot like German except for the stupid cases so you should be able to get the hang of it quite fast.
I've never seen dutch offered anywhere =p
Can't you just continue German and get better at it?
I could but I'm not very good at it so a German 4+ class would be harder than spanish 1, plus theres only one german class I could take this summer.
You can ask around and see if any of your friends knows a specific language you might be interested in or ask them if they're taking a class for a specific language soon so you can learn it together :)
Civ 5 multiplayer is absolutely terrible. Stay far, far away on the other side of a reinforced concrete wall lined with depleted uranium. All turns are simultaneous so you can make a move and a second later, someone has got in before you and has moved a unit or made an attack. I was playing a LAN game with a flatmate and any P2P combat was utterly futile - you had no idea what was going on because the lag was so bad. I repeat: this was a LAN game. It's entirely pointless to even attempt an internet game.
This assumes you can even find each other. Apparently, there's a region lock-out for match-making where not even Canadian and American players can find each other. The save/load functionality in multiplayer doesn't work properly either, you can only load autosaves and even then they're often glitched beyond recognition. Multiplayer is also a gigantic resource hog ontop of a game that's already way too heavy-weight for what it delivers.Seriously, rethink the "Civ 5 marathon." You'll avoid disappointment.Haha, well I think/hope they'll add the traditional turn based multiplayer mode and etc in an update/expansion, maybe the one thats coming out next month. I think there must have been something wrong with your connection, people complained about lag in multiplayer but not to the extent that they could barely play even in a tiny LAN game. I'll still try to play multiplayer at least once =p
1) Perhaps but that really should have been in from the damn start.
2) No, it's just a badly made game.3) Good luck!
