Must be fun, huh?
FRAXY. (Not my game, Japanese creation)Oh yea, this game is top notch in terms of customization, even though it took me a day in order to figure out how to make my own custom bosses, which no one else on the internet seems to know how to do yet. Or maybe they do, they just don't wanna share. And I can't beat my own bosses easily, what a shame. I suppose that's a good thing. Customization is a godly game concept. So I've been screwing around and purposely not working on any new projects… for now. Mainly because I have no idea what I want to start on next. Well, I do have an idea, an online one, but I assume I'm too amateur to try them since I can barely understand how to use 39dll and all those really evil looking pieces of code and those things called sockets and packets and w/e. My modem/router thing is retarded too and can't port forward due to limitations, and I'm a kid who doesn't get an allowance. Boo. Maybe it's because I'm reluctant, since I'd have to spend a great deal of time trying to comprehend this in my empty brain, and I'd rather spend all day scoring headshots or blowing up metal things.Making a single player game would of course be easier, but I'm not interested in making one, see; I'd fall apart within a month if it's gonna be a real game. And then there's that preference thing, I like doing things like shmups and that doesn't appeal to the public as much as things like RPGs and online games. Puzzle games? No idea. So screw it, until I get a good idea I'll just wander around for a while. I'm more of a particle/ level designer than anything, after all, that's gonna be my future occupation.Random Question:Wtf is this font I'm seeing everywhere? It's probably something so stupidly simple to find, yet I can't think of where <_<(melee on a random whim :P)Recreated Flames Effect (I just had to):
Visitor BRK?
Nice flames! What technique did you use?
Yeah, I agree with FOXXEH MODZ.
Not to kill your hopes but I was describing a game I was playing, not what I made. Didn't clarify enough D:
Look up above. The thing is that Fraxy uses alpha masks and in GM it's easy to just use sprites and blending to imitate nice effects.
Explosion generators also rock as well.Who made it then?
I pwned myself once.
Alright, how do you make enemies? >.<
I did a lot of trial and error, the editor is very confusing because it's not translated. Simply make a core, then click it, go to the right bars and attempt to add other parts (I don't remember all of them, which is which.) I can't help you with the rest cause it's mostly trial and error, and I haven't used it in a while.
