Since I am going to a new college this coming semester, I decided to get a new laptop. Turns out they required a new one anyway. So instead of sticking with their measly requirements, I decided to go big.
Dell Studio 15Vista Home Premium6gb RAM2.7Ghz Intel Dual Core512mb ATI Radeon Mobility 4570 video cardCost: $1600Turns out, I may have overdone it. I can't make lag. Actually, games play TOO FAST haha. I was playing Prototype and everything was happening so fast I couldn't understand what was going on. So far I've tried playing Prototype and Assassin's Creed while using Photoshop CS4 and Dreamweaver CS4 all at the same time and the processor doesn't go over 50% and the RAM usage doesn't go over 40%. I love it.Also:http://pendarenstudios.com/Check the most recent news.
hey what's up man, it's been awhile. randomly decided to drop in.
for the longest time i've been torn between the studio 15 and sony vaio fw. i ended up getting the vaio for style and monetary reasons (ironic eh for a vaio?) but the studio definitely looked pretty good itselfFaster than mine, but also costs a bit more than mine =p
What about battery life? I wish I had thought more about that before buying my laptop (It barely gets 1.5 hours)
wow four hours is impressive for that i was sure your ram would eat all the power XD but yeah congratulations
hey if you can try and download trackmania, it looks so awesome with all the settings high trust me because in the game there is a ton of grass and you can see every single blade and it's so beautifulNice computer. That's an insane amount of ram though, 32-bit computers can only access 4Gb, hopefully yours is 64-bit or you're wasting 2Gb… :O
haha yah i haven't touched im programs in a long time. what settings are you running your games on? just wondering what i should expect in terms of performance.
also (this mainly goes to Josea but basically anybody with a laptop) have you tried undervolting?
