Kenon reporting. I've been thinking about one of my favorite games anyone on 64digits has made, Coloraze by Siert.
The game is so simple, and alas, I really wanted to see a second game. But I don't see that It'll end up getting to that point. So I came up with the idea of making a fan game. I'll probably call it "Coloraze: Return of the Colors". Of course, I could use a better name, but I am using it temporarily.Obviously Coloraze ROTC needs more colors, and aside from the Purple, Yellow, Blue, Red, And Green (Possibly more colors, I can't quite remember), I plan on adding in Gold, Silver, and Brown at least.Of course with fandom comes more obstacles. I'll probably introduce linked objects, like Switches that open doors, Water Valves that can be turned off and on, and maybe even teleporters.With this, I'll need a very good level editor to be able to make this work well. Never fear, I want a challenge anyways. Plus, I'll probably make it able to load all of the old Coloraze Files.If anyone wants to give ideas, please do. I'll be working on this project all weekend, and I should have a demo of it up by Sunday.Oh, no more cirimatches btw.-Kenon
LvEditors are surprisingly easy,so you shouldn't have that much trouble.Just use a 2Darray(or a DSgrid,but I nvr use ds,so…)
As for the actual concepts…you plan on having spikes?You gna have a blog chain of level submissions?I THINK YOU SHOULD MAKE THE GAME WITH CONTROLS BECAUSE HAW DO I UPLOAD A PICTURE FOR MY FILE MANAGING TO PLAY MY GAME WITH THE DOWNLOAD PAGE IS NOT ON THE FRONT PAGE IT SHOULD BE A .EXE FILE FOR THE PLAYER.
Signed,Twisterghost@Serpex: I've made 2 level editors. One for Evite, one for Project THETA. I know they're suprisingly easy O_o. And I don't know if there'll be nescescarially spikes, but there will be things that kill you and cause you to restart level.

yeah, also while you're at it, make the squares' apothem be a bit longer than the radius of the guy… it was freaking annoying to try to go down a hole…
suggestions: Time attack mode, springs, me as a level designer, regenerating sand blocks (those will have a LOT OF USES, but keep 1-time sand blocks too), colored locks (you have to be a certain color to unlock). I'll give you more later onYou know, before you make a fan game, you should finish what you started before, but I will look forward to it nonetheless.
