Platformed Progress

The last few days, I have been working on the new engine for platformed. And knowing I haven't blogged or told you about platformed in a while, so I decided to post a list of what I have done for each character and what I have done for the overall game:

GREEN for recent additions

BLUE for old additions

PURPLE for Additions in Progress

Overall Game

  • Jumping

  • Moving

  • Jumping

  • Jump-through platforms

  • Moving platforms(l-r)

  • Spikes

    Spike

  • Wall cling

    And here are some screens for you:

    (FYI I haven't added in spike's sprites. just that green square.)

    Well, that's the engine work of platformed! Maybe in future blogs I will make Graphic Work Tables!

    Speaking of graphics, how are the tiles?

    Eternal… why should I? Or are you talking about the level design? if do, yeah. This level is just to test graphics and gameplay.

    The tiles are kinda…grainy. The dots contrast each other too much and it makes me feel like it's a castle made of sand or really rough rock. Make the little lighter dots darker so it smoothes it out a bit.

    hm. what he means is the background that is squar-ish. mack it to where the background connects instead of looking like a bunch of bricks.

    and the tiles look tiley, keep it up!

    Waah the boxes are hurting my eyes… I like the style but I think the background shouldn't be tiled like the walls, because it looks like a grid. Still cool though…

    I agree with RetroVortex.

    Also, if you want, I could make a new verson of Shard based off of the new version of Spike.
