It lacks in editing and I need to describe the Garcans better but have fun, I would love comments.
Red SnowChapter 1 - A Reason to Fight
By Eric Fraze…….Ek-Tar, a perfect Garcan specimen, stands at attention along a long, straight roadside beside his fellow soldiers. From hoof to head he towers at six feet, beneath his slate-blue armor muscles ripple, razor edged claws tip long fingers curled around a war pike. It takes him has much physical strength as mental to hold its butt above the ground. As the weight of his burden suggests, this honor is not to be taken lightly. Of the twelve rows of six facing the street, Ek-Tar stands first, having all the reason to be proud, not long ago he had stood at the back, the day his father, Ek-Tou, became part of the Royal Guard. He shrugs off the pride, this day is not his, it belongs to a lone Garcan walking the frozen path.………Ek-Ton lived for this moment, the chance to show the Honored his strength, his will, for even if he fell along this path, it was for the leaders of all Garcans and their faith. So, in truth, he is prepared to die for this moment. Tammeran’s ice age began fifty years ago, walking naked to the Honored’s palace was the most sacred trial since its cold winds first crept through over this land. He continued forward, his six eyes fixed ahead, each saw either red, blue, or yellow, the combined picture was vivid, more so than any human’s. But right now, all he saw was a bright white. Ton turned off his blue and yellow receptors, red filled his vision, and the memories of blood he shed carried him on.…….Ek-Tou watches his son from a post atop the palace, as his father had done years ago. The palace itself was of grand design, four towers, one for each of the Honored to reside in, stood tall from the four back corners of the octagonal building. In Garcan religion, there are eight ages. One new Honored is added for each age and a tower is built in one corner for him. Each new age calls for new Honored, the Honored of old are sacrificed for the new age.
We demand more! More of this story! D:
Thanks.
I should write more of it, I've decided to try for a publisher after college. This is just a rough draft of the real thing."Towers" at six feet?
meh, shrimp.Anyway, this sounds pretty interesting.I understand your reasoning, I'm six feet five inches.
Though, from an average person's perspective, yes, they tower. They instill fear that makes them seem to tower.
