Some one mentioned that I always put we in the site updates and whatnot. Here's why I do that. By we, I mean me, my brother, and my cousin which help me, content wise. They haven't made accounts or anything yet so they haven't posted any articles yet, but, they have been helping me since I started the website when it wasn't possible to register at the time because I hadn't created that site feature yet.
I'm not that good at coding, so I wouldn't know how to fix security holes. The website was hacked before I had set up the article system, so I'm pretty sure that wasn't the vulnerability. If anyone wants to explain to me how I would do that, it would be really helpful.Oh, and if you register at http://www.largames.com/login and you write an article, don't panic when you don't see anything on the actual website because I have to approve the article that is written before anything actually happens. This is to prevent inappropriate content from being posted. Even if it can be deleted later, I prefer it if something like that never gets posted in the first place.-Luis
I always read "Luis" as "Luls".
At least your "we' DOES include more people than yourself. It annoys me otherwise. Also, I'm not that into web programming (let alone security), but any place the hacker can gain access to a file he shouldn't be able to (e.g. a php file linked in a page, easily located by viewing the source) should have some sort of security measures. Whether that be disguising the file, or creating a secure log-in system for important pages/files.
I encourage you guys to start writing articles. I do hope they do contain some useful information however. Also, if your article does not fit in any categories, I will just place it in the Other random stuff section of the site. I need some game or movie reviews. That category still doesn't have any articles.
-LuisIt's not an 'attempt' if they actually succeeded, you know.
Maybe you should stop advertising that your site is extremely hackable. It's annoying how you play victim of this, and instead of being proactive, you complain about it. 8 blog posts advertising the amateurish LAR Games.
There. I changed the title. And Iluvfuz, you're right. I should stop advertising that my site is hackable. This is the last post I shall make about that. And what do you mean by amateurish? I'm trying to find a way to prevent it, and you could be a little more helpful.
Nothing, I take it back. But if you do want my opinion XD:
I think the whole site's really messy with a lot of cells strayed across. The color scheme is usually hard to look at, and you overuse effects, such as reflections and electricity.Basically, make the banners more simple, clean up the site, improve some of the themes AND MAKE A UNIVERSAL LOGO. Your logo changes are the themes change, which is usually a poor idea. Make a grayscale logo, and color it to fit the color scheme of the theme it is currently in. Otherwise, I think your site is well built, and I would be angered by hackers too.EDIT: Not trying to advertise, but if you look at my page and at the two pictures I have posted made with Photoshop, look at the color scheme. The Mygeeto picture is made up of mainly gray colors, with small flashes of blue lights. This was intentional, the blue lights are not meant to be a center of focus, despite that it is the only color in the picture. You may find that you don't look at the blue lights most of the time, but rather the rest of the picture. Now, the tree, it is made of blues, greens and browns. Green is a neutral color and usually attracts no attention. Blue is a cool color. You may notice the background is a gradient, which the lighter color centers on the tree. This is not particularly necessary though. The brown is the main focus, it takes of less space than the blue but stands out from the rest of the colors. The two pictures have color schemes. I'm not saying that the pictures I made are amazing, I'm just using them as a demonstration for color schemes.Tree: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll194/iluvfuz/Random/tree1.pngMygeeto: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll194/iluvfuz/Random/Mygeeto.pngCongrats on reading this far.Good luck!I see what you mean with the second picture, but the first one is a broken link.
-LuisWell, yeah, they're both from my blog anyways. But I think the tree poses a better argument if you want a more inviting, colorful website. Using shades of gray will call for accents of colors, but be sure the accents are not a distracting color. Your gray theme with the blue titles is very strange. You encapsulated the titles as if they were buttons; not to mention they were a bit strange in the theme. Your electricity theme has they lightning bolts surrounding everything, repelling me from reading any content. I have helped with website design as a graphics adviser, including coloring, setup, filesize, execution and others. I hope you redo a few of your themes to make them smoother and easier to use as a visitor.
