Now, I finally switched to a new host, and I basically had to start from scratch with the site. There are way more features that the old one never had, so this new and improved site is better in every way. Hopefully this one will last month to month bandwidth wise since this new host has about twice the bandwidth.
Unfortunately, only some content from old site is on this one, but eventually most of the old stuff will find their way back.Hopefully you guys like the new site.http://www.LARGames.com
That's a lot of blue. o.o
You think it's too much?
Try using white text for starters ;)
or you could put a lighter box inside the main box, or a lighter box on the outside. maybe.but i agree. too much blue, but keep going. I know you've been redesigning your site a few times XDIs it a paid host? If so, how much per month?
Well, I tried to use white in the beginning, but I found that too much contrast made my eyes hurt after a while, so I toned it down. No, it's not a paid host. I couldn't afford it. You know, all this time that I've had the site, I've never made a dime. I just wish someone would click on the ads.
Anyway, this is the host I'm using now:http://0000free.com/The only way to make money is if you have a constant flow of viewers, then people will click your ads if you have good placement and strategy.
Also, paid host is well worth it if you start getting some consistent visitors.I'm usually getting about 300 unique visitors a day, but today I've gotten almost 2000. Now I'm worried about bandwidth again…
-LuisIf you can't get clicks, a project wonderful ad will bring in a tiny bit of money even without clicks. With enough visitors it could even pay for a host with unlimited bandwidth. Personally I've been averaging maybe 10 cents a day from the game fortress forums banner and I basically never get above 1k uniques a day.
Project wonderful sounds really good. I registered and submitted my site. Hopefully, I'll one day be able to do exactly what you mentioned, and be able to pay for a host with unlimited bandwidth.
