I decided to try it. I forgot what the reason for doing so was, but I'm very impressed with it. It seems to focus mostly on painting, brushes and all that, so I really like that. I've been trying to get better at using my tablet ever since I got it, since I'm still not very used to it.
I decided to try drawing a test image to practice. This horror is the result:Man, I really suck at drawing people. Humans beings are hard.
Haha yes, humans can be difficult to draw.
I really like Sai for its infinitely editable linework capabilities, though. That and the fact that the 'blur' actually blurs to some degree. But it does have a nice feel to it, and it's fun to fool around with."Horror" is a good word here.
SAI is my tool of choice. You can thank Cyrus for that. It mixes vector and raster very nicely. I'd recommend a tablet for the brushes, and the mouse for the linework. That is, if you get anywhere near serious about it.
EDIT: Also, I think certain parts of the hair turned out nicely. But if you want to draw people, get a good feel for proportions. Foreheads make up a good part of the face (a third if I remember correctly).Yeah. First time I ever heard of it was when Cyrus mentioned in one of his blogs. I forgot what made me download it yesterday though. haha
If you want to get better at drawing faces, I recommend looking at tutorials regarding individual parts of the face. Eyes, nose, lips, ears, the head-shape itself.
