Recently, Mediafire started blocking some of my uploads. Which ones? My texture pack.
That has made it a little difficult for people to download it. Turns out, since texture packs are usually in .zip format, they consider it against the rules to upload it or something..Anyway, after I found out that whatever I did to the file wasn't going to do anthing useful, I decided to look for another file host. I've discovered that quite a bit of file hosts have the same rule against archives. In the end, I just decided to upload it to my site and build a page to download it.So, here it is:Link 1 (adfly)Link 2 (noadfly)Now, you can try it out and tell me what you think! :D
Wait, file hosts don't allow zip files? Thats… completely idiotic.
Uploading .zip and .rar files still work for me.
Well, it wasn't letting me…
Just retried and still doesn't work. This is what people get when they try to download it:clickyIn the end, this was a tiny blessing in disguise. I was going to do this eventually, and this forced me to do it now. So, it all worked out fine. :)Oh, I know it's a bug. I shouldn't have worded it that way. My file shouldn't be blocked since it's none of the things that is against the rules. Sorry if I mislead anyone.
For the record, I did try renaming the file as well.Wat? I upload .zip and .rar files all the time to mediafire.
Was it >200mb? I mean, that'd be a huge-ass texture pack, but was it?I refuse to try it out, because you refuse to try out 64D's file hosting. :(
@Rob
Quite the opposite really. Not even a megabyte. Like the sir above pointed out, it's pretty much a bug.@FirestormWait. I.. I could've..Derp.I got a notice from mediafire today for uploading this and trying to pass it off as a leak of the new unreleased Bad Religion single.
