Hmm. What font would you have preferred they used?

(Or if a custom one, how do you think it should have looked?)

Helvetica Nue

Hmm. Nice font. I don't think it fits Terraria though.

I might use one similar in the future though. Looks good.

I can't help but feel that the 1.2 update is a damage control response regarding the "xbox gets extra content whereas PC doesn't" and the upcoming Starbound, which seems to try and fill in the gaps Terraria didn't.

Still, odds are I'll pour hours upon hours when the 1.2 update hits.

I don't feel that way at all. The Xbox didn't even get very good extra content anyway.

I remember reading somewhere that the Terraria dev originally wanted to add a lot more to the game before releasing but had to put the game out early and somewhat incomplete for some reason, so he's been making these free updates (most notably this one and that last huge update) to finish off.

Man, I am pretty stoked for this update since my disappointment after hearing 1.1 was the last. And while I'm excited about Starbound, I can't help but feel that along with Minecraft's space version, these derivative games are just:

As far as the font goes though, it does scream COMIC SANS, but at the same time it feels appropriate for the game. I think that in terms of presentation, it does the job well. Helvetica Neue is a nice font but not for Terraria.

Minecraft's Space version? Wat.
