Sounds more dramatic than it is, I suppose. I'm here because someone *cough*TOAST*cough* dropped an announcement on the Ludum Dare front page about an upcoming contest. My first reaction was trying to ignore it. I'm just getting back into programming and game design, and I'm already preparing for a somewhat ridiculous game making contest that only gives me two days to do my thing, so it isn't like I need another project…
But… RPG!!!!1!! Those are my favorite games. They're what I do. So, yeah. Ya got me interested. I don't know if I'm up to creating a production quality game in three months from scratch, but it would be interesting to try. It's been ages since I created a full game. I used to design a lot of games in high school. The few I finished and actually liked were text adventures. Good art takes me a long time, and I've never produced it for an actual game.I might toss my floppy disk into the ring. A few things bug me about this site, though. I can't upload an avatar, for starters, and there don't seem to be any to choose from. Does this have something to do with the migration I'm reading about?
Welcome to 64Digits, mmmmkay?
Hey guys. Thanks for the warm welcome. :)
I actually just discovered the LD last week, so I have no previous entries. The upcoming event will be my first, assuming I manage to complete one in the 2 days I get for it. That seems a bit more restrictive than I'm really ready for, but I figure it's a good point of focus for getting me back into the game, so to speak. On an unrelated note, does anyone have any experience with this game making tool? I just became aware of its existence, and it looks like it could be marginally useful for hobbying around with game development.byond?
Oh man, I remember that.It was one of the first programs I ever tried using to make games. The website looks more useful than it did all those years ago.Hmm. No, but that does look like an interesting Game Making tool. Looks like something worth testing out.
No.
But I will advertise in their forums mwahahaaHmmm I haven't, but looks interesting to try out once or twice.
*LOL @ Toast*
Good plan.
