Ludum Dare, 18 Hours In

Spent more of this morning than I would've liked trying to get a couple of libraries to work that I hadn't realized I needed. Fun times. In spite of that, I'm about where I expected to be with this. Feels like I'm miles behind the power curve, though.

Lunch finds me spriting my first couple of ships. I'll post the current results, just for the lulz. Yeah, I know. Redundancy and stuff. I'll shrink the sprite sheets later. Probably.

Yep. I've got my work cut out for me…

And finally, a screenshot. Not that I have enough time to finish the darn thing…

There isn't actually any challenging gameplay yet, so I guess that's the plan for tomorrow

Neat idea. XD

Mine was a toss-up between cute and fuzzy rodents killing each other in various messy ways to express my displeasure at our less than imaginative theme or a space exploration game I was planning to devote a lot more than two days of development time toward.

Fortunately for all of us, I think, I'm not artistically inclined toward cute and fuzzy, even in the name of cartoon violence. :/

My art is basically the first thing I draw in paint.

Needless to say it isn't great
