Elfs. Kick. Ass. Nuff said. …Oh wait, I actually need to post a blog.
Ok, well, tonight my friend invited me out to a Magic: the Gathering tourney (with no prizes tonight, but still, its tribal and I <3 tribal). It was Legacy/Tribal, which means basically any card back to Ice Age is allowed, which is good cause I have like 1K cards and none of them are the newer sets. Well guess what, old pwns new and I definately laid the hurt on. First tourney in like 2 years, I walk in there and I'm just like "omg they're all really good and have new stuff I've never even seen before." Apparently, they suck at making tribal decks even with their vast experiences and resources. For like the last 5 years the only deck I've ever played was an Elf Tribal deck, and tonight I think I finally perfected it. We start off round 1, I'm facing this dude who traded me a 14$ card just minutes ago for my 3 Wirewood Hivemasters that were in my deck. I had to quickly cut the deck down about 10 cards and make sure I had 22 elfs (the rule was your deck needed at least 1/3 creatures with the same type). I was flippin out cause I was unsure what to put in the deck and I was almost DQ'd for delay of game. Well, needless to say, when I played him I beat him 2-0. It wasn't even close. He started freakin out like "DUDE OMG", so he quickly challenged me again before round 2 and I beat his ass once more. Then we played a 3 way game just for fun and I beat 2 people at once with my deck (giving me another 2-0 :P). Round 2 finally started, and once again I emerge victorious with another 2-0. The beatdown wasn't even funny. Finally, in round 3, I had an opponent using a rat deck (red/black), which has always been a fatal weakness for me. Well, he beat me the first game cause I had crap for mana somehow, the second game I nailed him with a Hurricane + Heedless One, and he got a good draw on the third game and won. So, round 3 I was 1-2. Then we played round 4 and I faced my friend who had invited me. The day I started building my elf deck, he started a zombie deck, and we have always been severe rivals with those decks. Well, he had reconstructed his deck as well. I came out with another ridiculously easy 2-0. So, on the score chart I came out in second place with 7-2, but for the night I had 10-2. The deck just became more powerful than I had ever imagined. (Btw, the guy who beat me in round 3 was third for the night, apparently he lost to someone else). Below I will post the decklist for the deck I used.http://64digits.com/users/Magicman657/elf_deck.zip
Brightflame pWns j00…
My friend has an artifact deck with 2 quicksilver fountains and multiple power conduits. It's an evil combo…And my other friend has an izzit chronarch deck, very evil - he used to be able to pull a combo where he got multiple turns and attack phases. But he changed it.I don't have a deck, I just borrow peoples when I play, which isn't really often.Heh, Magic was my favourite card game I ever played. I stopped like a year ago though, I can't be bothered to spend my money on cards. =P
Yea I rarely buy cards anymore, but that didn't really matter yesterday :P
i enjoyed playing that, but i don't buy cards anymore and nobody plays the game anymore. sad. [:(]
