I've been noticing a lot of 64Digit -themed games going around lately. Games where the members are the characters and suchforth.
Now, I'm just expressing my own opinions here, but I think they're kinda cool. While none of them have really been of an exceptionally good quality (with the very notable exception of ColumnsX) it is an intriguing idea. Getting members to submit sprites eliminates much of the graphical work required in a game, and you already have people to model your character's personalities and traits on.Is it such a bad thing that this new breed of games has emerged? A genre that can be enjoyed only by the member involved in the site. Surely it promotes loyalty to the whole thing. It would be nice if those who made the games would put some more effort into developing them, though. I'm just saying that a game based on a community such as this one deserves a little bit of polish, don't you agree?Check out this music video that we put together a few months back. I agree on both points. It is a great idea, but the releases generally need polishing (so far 64Quest looks promising).

lol i started a new project called Kinesis and the last boss's name is melee v2.0. The game itslef is about the 64D server being invaded by a virus and you have to clean it.
I got this idea right when the old server started having weird glitches and stuff.
