Hearts!
Halloween is almost upon us (not really), and I'm making some delicious whatever-the-fuck-this-is!Whatever the fuck it is, I clearly need your hearts to make 'em. So let's make a deal. By neglecting to post a reply to my blog, you are giving me permission to take your heart.k?k.~New Avatar~I have one. What ya think?~Life (as if I had one lol)~Life has been pretty boring, except for the fact that OMFG I JUST SURVIVED A MOTHERFUCKING CATEGORY 5 HURRICANE.Ok, not really. It was Category 2. Barely. And it hit at least 75 miles away from where I was staying at the time. But damn, was there buckets of rain!~Projects~I'm kinda worried. It feels like I'm starting a new project (or two) every day. But hey, if I start 1000 projects, at least one is bound to get finished, right? Right? Here are the projects that I have (more or less) already started:Non-Entity, a turn-based RPG set in a world where there is no reproduction. People just get spawned at this weird temple periodically, as fully grown, dressed and educated adults no less! Even though it's got a JRPG-esque turn-based battle system, it's not extremely story-driven. I debated with myself as to whether there should even be a main plot/quest to complete. My compromise was that there would be one, but a very short one. In fact, it'll be shorter than a lot of side quests. Progress is slow due to the fact that most of the work I need to do is stuff that needs to be done away from the computer, which I never am.GT2D, a 2D racing game. Fuck. I got pretty far into this project before I decided that the physics were totally FUCKED and that I needed to rewrite the entire engine. Oh well, I'm working on it. The driver AI is pretty good at the moment, although I wasn't able to implement it the way I wanted.Medley, a mini-game collection of sorts. Oh la la. I've got one mediocre game made for it, which desperately needs some TLC. Which I have been refusing to give it.Quite a lot of stuff I've started. And that's not even including a lot of my older projects which I may or may not resurrect. Am I in over my head? Yes. Solution: start more projects! Here are the projects which I may or may not be starting soon:Silent Hillish game #120495. God, I've been starting projects with the goal of being "Silent Hillish" ever since I played the series. I even got pretty deep into a Silent Hill fangame, before I decided it was balls. Let's pray that this one actually gets finished. It'll probably be about some father who comes home from work to find that his daughter had been kidnapped. And then instead of looking for her, he bakes himself a pizza.Flash clone. I decided that it probably wouldn't be too hard to make a Flash clone in Game Maker. Of course, the animations would have to be exported as a GIF… and naturally, there'd be no scripting of any sort…But hey, Flash is primarily a vector animation program. And that is exactly what my clone will be! …at least until you have to export your animation as a GIF so you can show it to other people.Life Simulator of some sort! Kinda like Polystyrene Man's vim thing, except I want to allow the player to create a more self-sustaining world. It will be less organism-based, and more environmental based. There will be weather that is actually affected by your world, as well as day-night cycles. But of course there will be organisms. I don't have any plans to introduce mammal-like organisms into the game though. It will mostly just be plants, and some insects and stuff. One of the cooler things I hope to do is to create a screensaver module for this game. You'll be able to save a world in the editor, then assign it to the screensaver. When your computer is idle, you'll be able to watch your world change and evolve over time. And it will be persistent. Exiting the screensaver won't cause all that simulation to be thrown away, it will resume precisely where it left off the next time it starts. It won't overwrite your original world file though, so you can start it over if you want to.~Left arm~It's twitching.~The End~I took the time to write this for you, so the least you could do it skim it and post a short response like "cool. nobody cares" or "go fuck yourself"Maybe I'll even return the favor and comment on your blog and/or download a game or two of yours. Assuming you make games, that is.
Fat chance
How the hell are you doing all these things at the same time? I mean, its great that if you get board with one thing, you can hop to the other, but jeez, how are you going to juggle them all?
Good luck man, some great ideas though!Well, hell. I posted a comment. Be happy. Although you can't comment on any of my blogs, because I deleted them all, and I don't release any of the games I make, let alone finish them. So, uh…yah.
