I considered dropping the GSC tileset for a more modern one, but then I had a change of heart. I decided that I was going to do something that earlier I decided against: I'm going to make this a DS-style game. Thus, with lower screen real estate for the overworld, I decided to resize the tilesets back down to their original size. So I think that'll keep the tileset from sticking out when compared with the other graphical assets of the game.So when can you expect the first release, and what should you expect from it?Well… whenever it is released, it will contain:Base, Jungle and Fossil card setsPallet Town and Viridian City to exploreFully functional battle engineFully functional PokeGear with the following apps: Weather Forecast, Pedometer, Card Manager, Card Store, User Profile, Save Game, Messages, and Achievements.The first release will have all that, no matter what. So now… when should you expect it? My target release date of May 30 is shockingly soon, I can hardly believe it myself. This weekend I plan on finally buckling down and putting some serious effort into it. The plan is to have the game 70% complete by Monday.But… we'll see. I might be biting off more than I can chew.
Main game has pixely graphics. The PokeGear has gradients.

I guess changing the tileset is my new top priority.Ignore the nay sayers, looks great.
The game boy graphics blended with the smooth gradients and interface on what appears to be *absolutely everything else* clashes pretty horribly. Granted, this isn't the most important thing to smooth out right away, but you'll want to address it before the project is declared finished in full.
Revisit the graphics later on, it can always be replaced/altered later.
yeah I was. otherwise nice job on everything else although I don't really like pokeman fan remakes. :P
