Well that last competition I held was good fun, but this one is srs business!
I'm not much of a spriter, so naturally I'm going to need some help if I want my Neon Genesis Evangelion game to look good.So my solution? Hold a competition! The prize of the competition is the job of creating the sprites for my game, thus you should only participate if you've got the time to create dozens of sprites. Of course, the winner will be compensated for any sprites used. I don't have exact figures, since I'll be paying the winner on a per-sprite basis, but we're talking $140 at least. And of course, the spriter will receive credit in the game as well. Here's what the winner will be expected to create for the game:Approximately 8 100x100 character portraitsSprites of the EVA Units, broken down into individual parts (torso, legs, arms, head, weapons). Approximately 3.Sprites of the Angels, some broken down into individual parts. Approximately 13.Backgrounds… city, ocean, mountainside, etc.And possibly more…So onto the what the competition actually is!Well, it's pretty open. Each participant is expected to submit at least two sprites based on Neon Genesis Evangelion, preferably two fairly different sprites. I don't want to see two sprites of the same character, just in different poses. So that's about all… go for it!Edit: The deadline is July 31st, unless nobody participates and/or the participants suck at spriting, in which case the deadline will be extended.
Look, I'm so lazy I can't be bothered working for my self-paced home job that's supposed to be my source of income and prevent my impending bankrupcy, what makes you think I'll bother making sprites for $140? :P
I think you are asking the wrong community, plenty of us can sprite, but don't want to be bothered from our own work. :\ Sorry.
We. Are. Lazy.
I mean, take a look at the banner.Yeah, but it's still worth a shot.
No not me!
Meh… I might try it. :)
