Wow… I worked for 17 hours straight yesterday. I was doing A-level ICT coursework, which makes me want to throw my laptop out the window. I think I managed to meet the deadline, but I doubt I got any higher than a d, oh well, it’s a pass I suppose. Seriously, this assignment has probably been the single most stressful thing in my life.We had to find clients, (it was REALLY awkward asking people,) and make a database for one, and a report on ICT systems for the other. Well, my report wasn’t too bad, but my database client was really unhelpful, and I was basically making it up as I went along, so it is full of holes. But the thing I hate most is that it only counts for about 5% of the grade, the rest is shitty documentation. So I was making stuff up, cobbling together scraps of information, and stumbling blindly through the work.I did manage to get SOME sleep last night (or this morning) but what sleep I did get was haunted by dreams of ICT systems.I wish I had gone to a different college and taken a computing course instead, it would have been so much simpler (ironically).Oh, but it’s not over yet, now I have the double ICT units too… although they are more fun (building computers, computer artwork and creating a website) the shitty curriculum is not based on your actual skill, but your ability to write pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages of text.I am not a happy bunny, I hardly even noticed school ended on Thursday, or it is my, (and 64 digits’) birthday next Friday, or that it is really nice weather outside.TL;DR: I hate computers, and I’m going to sit in my garden in the nice weather.

I'm easily distracted by just about anything when it comes to school work.Damn man…props.and that deadline was fake… i want to punch my teacher now

yeah, i suppose. But actually, it just made me want to do it less. I thought it was impossible to do it in that time (I was pretty much right) I would have given up completely if i didn't have my mum nagging me.

yeah, except it isn't that interesting until a2(next year) even then, only about 5% of the marks is for the quality of the design, all the rest is writing descriptions of your client, their requirements, making a time plan, and all other kinds of boring stuff.
I can do all those things in my head, I can develop my ideas and such, but when it comes to writing it into reports, I'm no good at putting in all the detail, or getting it in the right format.
