"Error creating standalone, unable to find valid runner data"
this happens EVERY time I try to run a game. also, I cannot open the program straight up, the only way to open it is to find a game created in this version, and open that.no I cannot reinstall, I no longer have my activation code.I hope I don't have to buy it again, brining the total i have spent on this program to about £200 (312.12 U.S. dollars)I only just bought it again last month ;~;FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I was going to spend today working on a gm project as well…
your ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu appears to be sticking out.
Lol, stop giving them money, it's not worth that much.
Why'd you pay more than once if it keeps failing?
This keeps happening to me.
I got that once, but for me at least it was a fault of moving where my flash drive was plugged in.
Is your GM on a thumb or is it on your desktop?desktop, it's in the default install location (c:\\users\appdata\roaming\Gamemaker)
This is why you keep track of your activation code.
With that said, if you have an account on YYG with the email you purchased GM with, you can get your activation code by logging in to their main website (not the sandbox.) If you don't have an account on YYG with the email you purchased GM with, then it would have made one for you, but if you don't remember your activation code then you probably won't remember the password they gave you for it.Also, if you're using the beta update channel: don't. Use the stable update channel (not that there have been any updates for months now.)Never happened to me, although I stick to GM 8.0 - 8.1 isn't worth it. Stick to a stable release!
the new registration process doesn't even send you an email for it, I was expecting an email with my code, so I didn't save it at that point…
also, 8.1 is a LOT more stable than 8.0. pretty much any particle system I have made does not work in gm8, but works fine in 8.1
