No music this time. Just some GM-related stuff.
Me and Josh (a.k.a Jalb or Bald Eagle 636) decided that we should remake my old project "Worms!" (http://worms.ja-lb.com/) in order to incorporate online play on it.The working title is "Pinktards". We won't call it "Worms!" this time, for obvious legal concerns. We have been working on it for around 2 and a half months, and already we have a playable online shooter. I do programming and graphics, while Josh does the networking side of things. Here are some screenshot of the current work-in-progress (v0.2) version:http://willhostforfood.com/users/M/Mordi/mainmenu.pngMain menu.http://willhostforfood.com/users/M/Mordi/hostlobby.pngThe lobby is near-complete. My worm is just needs a tan.http://willhostforfood.com/users/M/Mordi/playingwithmyself.pngI just threw in a picture of me playing with myself for the heck of it.http://willhostforfood.com/users/M/Mordi/iwon.pngIn the final version, it'll probably say "Stop playing with yourself" here. We'll probably release v0.2 pretty soon. Just a matter of days, I reckon.Let me know what you think of it.
If there's one thing more fun than playing with yourself it's playing with other people.
I remember trying to make a sprite for that game a long time ago. Or maybe someone stole a worm sprite and I colored it? Anyway, reminds me of Worms Armaggedon.
looks pretty attractive because of the clean interface.screenshots look pretty good.
Thank you for not using the built-in GM effects
built in Gum effex sux
Hootiehoo: Yes. They rarely fit the artstyle of the rest of the game in many cases when it comes to GM-games.
I actually played a GM game called "Logigun" which used that sort of sprites for the smoke, and I thought they looked pretty cool so I made my own. The worms-games also use very similar ones, I guess.
