Here's the mockup I posted yesterday:
.pngI've added more elements to it:Here's a slightly different version of it:.pngPSD here: http://mordi.ziphoid.com/data/stuff/index.psdFeel free to experiment with the .psd file.- - - - - I also remade the new logo:Threw it onto the mockup: http://mordi.ziphoid.com/data/stuff/index4.png
There we go, I like that quite a bit. Better than mine actually.
The only thing missing is the badges, but that's not a big issue… obviously they go in the sidebar. They'd be lookin' pretty great sitting right under the user's avatar. And I think we're gonna be keeping the new 64digits logo, so not sure why you insist on putting the old one in there. lolI like that much better (perhaps because it's very similar to v2), I'd make the gray top bar less thick though, like almost just enough to fit the text,
the render of the new logo is just fugly, the little grey one on the bottom of the page at least shows it can be done right.
and what Josea said, other than that it looks pretty boss :)i approve of this layout
i do not approve of that logo, the current one is nice.the tail thing on the six is way too long in your versionI agree, Moikle. The old logo is very nice!
The old site was actually a very nicely designed website. It had a minimalist approach. The current V3 is very messy. I'd hate to see the old design philosophy go "to waste".This is the best mock-up I've seen, although I do like the content in the current top bar (with the links to my page, inbox, etc.) Also I don't know if I'd want the logo to be redesigned…
Appreciate the name drop, too!I like the one you posted (with the red), but I like the current logo :}
Also, wouldn't that make blogs way too wide?the active users/recent activity bar should definitely be in the right sidebar like before, but this time it can follow the window. just not in the way of the text this time. the recent activity no longer shows what has changed since you last read it.
i also have suggested to canadonian that we either keep the old cream stripes background, or have a subtle gradient from that cream to white to make the background less plain.edit:i changed yours a littleI'm definitely with Moikle. Also the logo is growing on me but the font ("SIXTY FOUR DIGITS" bit) isn't. I like the idea of making the logo unique, a symbol, but I think there must be a better way.
But yeh I'm not here to contribute anything, cos I'm an idiot, just to moan.
