I do not exist.

It's true. I only became aware of it during the recent downtime of 64Digits, but I do not exist. Here is a screenshot to prove it:

Since I do not exist, this whole blog is probably all irrelevant, but I am going to post it anyway. Even non-existent people need something to do, after all. Or do they? Well I'll assume that they do.

Star Trek Neutral Territory

——

STNT is now on 64Digits. I released version 4.1 while the site was down. I really don't know what else I should do with the game (other than subtle balancing of the enemies, and updating the graphics, neither of which I am good at). I could really use some people to test it and give me feedback.

StarCraft

——

I recently went out and bought a copy of the StarCraft Battle Chest. It's a pretty sweet game. I can see why it's still popular after all these years. The graphics are all prerendered, which doesn't matter to me; I don't care if a game 4-bit graphics, as long as the game play is good. I've played other RTS games, and I've seen some features in other games that would be nice to have in StarCraft, (which will hopefully be added in StarCraft II) but it's so well made that it can be overlooked. One of the nice things about it is the easy-to-understand scenario and map editor. I've only had the game a short time and I'm already making scenarios similar to (although not of as good quality) the scenarios Blizzard include by default.

All in all, definitely worth the 10-20 bucks it sells for in the game stores.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

——

You people have probably already heard about this, but the next gen Super Smash Bros. game is coming out soon. (Hard to define "soon", but they claim it'll be in 2007) I was glad to hear that basically any controller which interfaces with the Wii, will be usable in the game. The standard Wiimote, Wiimote+Nunchuck, GameCube controller, and Virtual Console controller. This is good news to me, since the GameCube is my favorite Nintendo controller, and it also means that they're not gonna try to do something dumb with motion sensing and mess up the game. Don't get me wrong, I thing the motion sensing stuff is cool in general, but some games were perfect without it, and controller movements would just slow it down.

Says who? Because I haven't found the date anywhere official. And will you change your name to Brawl-Master if it's a good game?

GameFaqs.com notes that its U.S. release date is 12/03/07. I don't know where they got that, though…
