After 5 horrible years, I made the jump to DSL. What's the jump? Leaving dialup (or dialdowns) behind, which is, to say, a very good feeling to have. For those of you that don't know, I've been whining endlessly for the last 4 years about me having dialup. It seems that no one in 64D was using dialup anymore, so it was horrible that I could not relate to anyone anymore about this awful service.
The first thing I said I would do with DSL is download other peoples games and review them. That's… not going to happen. Nobody in 64D makes games anymore (which is a shame, a lot of games from here were awesome in comparison to the GMC or yoyogames). Not only that, but my motivation on game making in general has dropped. Why? Just, you know, crappy new games showing up all the time. I wonder if there are any new good games I'm missing out on. There probably are, but my video game budget is zero so I'll probably never buy them.I wonder, why aren't there any new admins or mods on 64D? it looks like that's mostly what it needs, to make things here a little bit less dead by changing, say, the layout or features. I mean, really, as much as I want 64D to stay true to game maker, does anyone really use it anymore?Edit - I'll still play games that pop up btw, or if you ask me to.
RC still has dial up.
I'm sure a good 80% of the users here have a project in GM, but are too busy to attend to it. We are all some what in that post highschool age where we are very busy trying to either get into a college or get through one.Mesenberg is an admin now.Yeah new things would spruce up the place. You're awesome, so it's okay.
Awesome, dial up sucks donkey dicks.
Ferret, are you sure he's an admin? I just went to his page and didn't see any admin badges, plus he posted that on april fools…
Acid, thanks :DYaywalter: Yes.Damn it. I suck at April fools… :(
At least you had dial-up, I spent 4 years without any home connection until this year.
