There's a pony over the 64D logo? Isn't this going to far?

And this is where I say, you're misinterpreting me. I don't care what other people like. I just don't see the need to put anything on the site, like a MLP banner. It's 64D, a website, not a piece of paper you can put anything you want on it.
And how is this any different from any of the other many things that have been put in the banner?
64D is, first and foremost, a community site, and the header often reflects that. Whether it be community memes on the tagline, the current craze being placed in the logo, or anything else. The header has never been sacred ground before - why is it now? It's also probably worth mentioning that I don't see the need to put shit in the header at all, but I'll fight for people's right to do it.Then go ahead and put up the MLP banner. I just hate it and I wish it weren't there. But put it up anyway.
I'm sorry that ponies murdered your parents, but if we stopped doing things we liked because it might offend people, the site would have to be a very different place
It's not offending me, it just looks really stupid. I thought there was more people, enough people, who thought this enough to say that putting up a pony as the logo was a stupid idea, but I guess I'm the only one and everyone else wants a pony up there. So do whatever you guys think is better.
I've been trying so hard to abstain here for obvious reasons. While I don't care one way or the other about MLP or whomever enjoys it, I do find it annoying when the site visually reflects our fads. I felt the same way about Minecraft – even after I started playing it. When our friends come to see the site we love so much, the banner is the first thing they see. That reflects 64Digits. It's funny now and then but when only the minority enjoys it, it gets stale very, very fast.
That's my two cents, and all I hope to be posting. I don't want in on this argument, so just see it as another point of view and nothing else.in a lot of (most?) ways, I actually agree with you - but that's not how others have run the site in the past. If it were up to me, the header *would* be sacred, and nobody would touch it. But it never has been.
quite honestly, I was unaware that the MLP-watching crowd was a 'majority' here
(…unless 5-7 people is more than half the 64D population? tell me if I've miscounted)Nope, you are about right, Colseed.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Cyrus, but to be honest I don't see it being enough to get upset over; it certainly would never be a change that would last more than a day.
