So I'm saying a big fuck you to social media as it is such a huge piece of shit distraction for me in my times of studies. Yes. it is true, the more I'm offline the more I get bored and forced to do the work I have to do. I'm like a child that has no parents to tell him to not eat all the cookies in the cookie jar… that example is spot on and that's what I have to work with. Unfortunately, the internet isn't like cookies in a cookie jar because I can eventually finish them all and be forced to stop – the internet keeps going on and on because as I've noticed recently… procrastination is such a fun hobby. So since I am not able to get parents to slap my hand out of the cookie jar when I lack self control (not that anyone would want to do it for me, I sure as shit wouldn't and I don't blame anyone for not wanting to), my solution is to throw out the cookie jar out the window. That's right, I will be off the matrix for the next two weeks. This is due to follows:
- Just got 2 F's on my last two exams when I thought I did really good. This cycle is neverending. It ALWAYS happens and fuck that. - Have a HUGE regional for Smash Bros. Melee I want to be prepared for. That means I have to be practicing my techskill with Fox (hardest MF in the game) so it's fresh and I can't complaing about not playing well. If I play my cards right, I can land in top 8, and if I get one of the top 3 spots, I'll actually get a payout, not to mention my name on the map. This is fucking golden and my first step to get sponsored. Sponsor = paid travel… which is sick AFSo I'm unplugging from this site too. Hopefully v4 is here by the time I get back.hahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaWell one can dream.Peace out niggas.Return date: March 13. This is the day after the tourney and 2 and 3 days after my exams.
Cyrus told me that I would be the only user that gets V4 and everyone else will be dropped to V1.
=DI can appreciate the need to cut out the noise. I haven't made any purposeful declarations to avoid the internet myself, but I have kinda subconsciously steered away from it since this semester's started. I'm doing great too, and I pretty much have to attribute it to having all my focus in one place.
@ferret i realize i didn't make this clear so i can say that most of this week was devoted for studying and my downtime was used on smash. i am glad to say this is what ended up happening naturally as my priority here was school, without me having to plan to study THEN play smash when i'm done.
