I'm reciting this from memory, but I think this is it:

A kid goes to spend the weekend at his grandfather's house. That night, they eat steak potatoes and corn. The kid sees bits of food and gunk all over his plate, so he asks: "Grandpa, are you sure these plates are clean?". The grandfather replies: "They're as clean as cold water can get 'em." The next morning, they eat bacon and eggs, and the kid can still see bits of old steak and potatoes from last night, he says: "Grandpa, are you really sure these plates are clean?", again, the grandfather says: "They're as clean as cold water can get 'em." Later, when it was time for the kid to leave, a dog got in his way, and started barking. "Grandpa! Your dog won't let me leave!" The grandfather then shouts: "COLD WATER! GO LAY DOWN!"
