New College, New Computer

So I graduated this year, did I mention? Got an AA degree from my community college. Now I'm going to a university to study computer science. So far it's pretty cool. It's a smaller branch of a pretty big university, so I get a nice school for my resume without having massive 200+ student classes. I've only had two days of classes so far, but I'm liking it there. I'm taking Matrix Algebra, State Government, and Java. I haven't been in them quite long enough to say for sure, but I think I'm going to like all of them. And no, I didn't get to choose which programming language I wanted to take, so don't ask me why I chose Java. XD

Anyway, I may commute there, but I'm still there for 8-10 hours a day, so I decided to get a new laptop. This way I can get all of my work done there between classes… And game when I don't have homework… :D

Here's the beastly laptop I am posting this blog from right now: Asus G4SX-BBK7

It can run anything I throw at it, and it never gets warm. It's easily the best computer I've ever owned. I'm very pleased with it. You won't find a much better price than that on a laptop for the components, and its design is really spectacular. I had to shell out some extra money for a backpack big enough to store it, but it was well worth it. ^_^

Oh, and I'm working on a super secret awesome game with a few buddies. I'll share more details when I'm getting closer to being ready to release it, but here's a screenshot for now.

Anyhow, that's what's going on with me. Thanks for reading.

That's a purdy looking game. Platform explorer?

I sure wish I had some IRL buddies to make a game with.

There are lots of ideas if you spend some time thinking. But it is most important to make sure that you keep coming up with new ideas as often as possible. It is getting harder and harder to run successful school fundraisers, and if you keep running the same old thing each time its effectiveness will diminish
